1. Many TVETcentres find it difficult to institutionalise a quality assurance management
system. Identify and briefly describe FOUR key challenges that TVETcentres in Namibia
may face when attempting to institutionalise a quality assurance management system.
Provide relevant examples to support your answer.

2. Registration is a mandatory process across institutions of education and training in
Namibia. Identify and briefly discuss any FOUR reasons why every new TVET centre
should seek registration with relevant external bodies in Namibia. Provide relevant
examples to support your claims.

1. There are eight principles of any Quality Management System (QMS) that every TVET
centre in Namibia should uphold. Identify and briefly explain only FOUR such principles
of QMS. Provide a real-world example to support your each of your answers. (20 marks)
2. The institutional quality assurance system literature identifies FIVE main instruments/
tools that institutions may use to quality assure their education and training activities.
List and briefly explain any FOUR such instruments/ tools that as a Centre Manager you
might want use to quality assure your education and training activities. Provide specific
examples to support your answer.

3. Continuous improvement and enhancement are integral part of any TVETinstitutional
self-assessment, involving ongoing efforts to maintain and enhance educational quality.
Name and briefly explain any FOUR strategies on how you centre can foster the concept
of continuous improvement and enhancement in the context of the recent TVET
institutional self-assessment recommendations. Provide relevant examples to support
your answer.
