not enough to sustain the animals throughout the year until the next rain season.
Hence, he decided to buy some hay for supplement, i.e. oats and Lucerne hays. The
price for Maize hay costs= N$1200.00/Ton and of Lucerne hay costs=
N$1550.00/Ton.
Calculate the costs for both hays (maize and Lucerne) which are required to feed the
entire herd for three months (June to August). The goats need 35kg/day of oats hay
and 20kg/day of Lucerne for those three months/herd.
