(a) In terms of Act 33 of 1993, "owner" in relation to land not only means the person registered in the
deeds registry as the owner of such land but also includes other aspects. State all these aspects that
also constitute ownership.

(b) Explain the procedure to be followed where the high water line of the sea or of a tidal river or the
edge of a lake or vlei which is owned by the state, forms a boundary of any surveyed land and the
owner intends to divide the land and to place a beacon along or near the boundary for the purpose of
effecting the division.
