SECTION B
ANSWER ALL QUESTIONS: TRUE OR FALSE?
[5 MARKS]
1 The following are the quality management principles;
Customer focus, Leadership, Involvement of people, Process approach, System approach to management,
Continual improvement, Factual approach to decision making, and Mutual beneficial supplier relationship.
2 A learning cycle constitutes of the following steps;
Planning, Execution of plans, Assessment of progress, Revision of plans based on the assessment findings
3 The value of 3.4 dpmo as a measure of Six Sigma performance stems from the notion of design
specifications in the manufacturing and the ability of a process to achieve the specifications.
4. The Theoretical Basis for Six Sigma is that Six Sigma quality level corresponds to a process variation equal
to half of the design tolerance while allowing the mean to shift as much as 1.5 standard deviations from the
target.
